This is a version of the popular pinochle app for iPad, iPhone, iPod touch, and Mac that does not contain any advertisements. You can play both single-deck and double-deck with customizable options, such as meld bids and shooting the moon. Pinochle Gold offers more tabletops and card back options compared to Pinochle Plus. Pinochle is a card game played with a deck of either 48 or 80 cards consisting of 9s, 10s, jacks, queens, kings, and aces. The game involves bidding for the right to choose the trump suit, optionally passing cards, melding different card combinations, and taking tricks. Points are earned through melding and winning tricks.

In this version, one human player (South) partners with a computer player (North) while playing against two computer opponents (West and East).

Bidding: Each player predicts the number of points they believe they can achieve with their hand. The player sitting to the dealer's left is required to make an initial bid and bidding continues in a clockwise direction. Players who choose to pass are no longer involved in the bidding for that hand. A typical high bid is 35 points (for a 48-card deck) or 60 points (for an 80-card deck). The high bidder then selects the trump suit for the hand and has the option to exchange cards with their partner.

Melding: Players earn points by revealing various combinations of cards. A run or straight in the trump suit is worth 15 points. Having all four aces is worth 10 points. Pinochle, which consists of the queen of spades and jack of diamonds, is worth 4 points, or 30 points for a double pinochle (two of each card).

Tricks: The player who made the highest bid starts the game, and play proceeds in a clockwise direction. Each trick consists of four cards. The winner of each trick earns 1 point for every ace, ten, or king they captured.

Scoring: If the high bidder fails to reach the bid (the total points earned from melding and tricks are less than the bid amount), the bid is subtracted from their team's score. The game continues until one team reaches the winning score to end the game.
